I feel a supervision session would definitely be beneficial in enhancing the work that has been done rather than attempting to address it here due to its limitation. A few things you could take for further reflection is....<br />view the story he has convey to you as a metaphoric statements and symbolic elements...e.g. why USA? what does that country personally represent to him, what attributes, qualities does he identify with that country? etc...island? why an island in the centre of the tray?....yes it may mean Penang Island....literally but what about metaphorically and symbolically?...and so on and so on etc etc. its good that you are beginning to reflect on SWP as potentially containing unconscious messages projected by the creator...and is evident that you can allow your own 'free child' to 'play and laugh' with the child...nice to see more of your free child. Your telephone number is like the 'psychological anchor' we all need, it gives us an emotional reassurance that 'its there' but if its not there we will definitely feel it and feel uneasy. Like a fire alarm, we may never use it, ever, but having it there gives us some reassurance that should we ever need it it always there. So don't underestimate the symbolic contribution to the child's psychological security of having your telephone number....just make sure you update it if you ever change the number.Alex Chewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00013023514899969279noreply@blogger.com
